Hi Jorge, Ok I've had another go at logging in to SSH, as I notified my =
web host of the errors I was receiving. I can connect and login - =
seemingly, although I'm presented with the following error messages:
Found preinstalled 'known_hosts' file.
File operations disabled, server identity can't be verified
I then login with my password and I arrive at the bash prompt, what does =
it all mean? I've not created any RSA ID or changed anything on my =
computer so I don't see how I can securely login? I'm confused.
The user in the Unix box is current and I can't use any other server and =
don't have another user to try :(
Thank you again for all your help.
Graeme :)

Hi Graeme :
please don't worry. There shouldn't be a permissions issue for Win '98 =
as it only reads/writes FAT 16/32 FS and you can't set permissions =
there.
Ok, if you can connect to server but cannot log in the connection part =
is fine, meaning the server presented it's rsa signature to your =
mindterm emulation software, it was compared to what it has stored and =
find a match.=20
There seems no to be a RSA problem here.
What about your user in the Unix box ? Is it current ? have another =
server / user to try ?

Hi jorge, I'm running Mindterm V1.2.1 and windows98SE. I haven't =
checked any permissions on the filesystem. I didn't know you had to :( =
I was told by my web host that I'd have to create an RSA ID to use SSH, =
nothing was mentioned about permissions. Basically I'm a bit lost - as =
I expect you can guess !
When I type in my username in the Mindterm interface, I get a =
message saying: Found preinstalled 'known_hosts' file then a =
confirmation box appears.
I can connect to the server but just can't login. I take it I need =
an RSA ID to do this, is that right?
Any ideas? I'm lost :(
Cheers,
Graeme :)

Hi :
couple of questions just to start with:
a.. which mindterm distribution are you running ?=20
b.. what OS ? (seems Windows )=20
c.. did you check permission on the filesystem you are trying to =
create the file ?
cheers,
jorge

that the locationisn't right? I have been having problems browsing for =
