Hi,
Wow was I happy to see that AppGate has released their newest version
v2.3 of MindTerm for limited commercial use. I was using V2.1 for over a
year now and the bug that only 99 files are supported in the sftp bridge
is very disturbing not to mention that with certain FTP clients the SFTP
bridge doesn't work.
So I downloaded V2.3 installed it and tried to login with my V2.1
settings files. At first everything seemed ok so I tried to login with
publickey authentication into one of our servers and when I entered the
username mindterm closed without even spitting out an error. So I
deleted all files in the mindterm settings dir and tried again (this
time I used authentication method password) this worked fine. Next thing
was trying to login with publickey to this server and again Mindterm
closed without printing an error. So I delete my old identity file and
tried to create a new keypair with "Create keypair". But nothing
happened when I clicked on the menu entry, also "convert/edit keypair"
does not work. You can click on these two menu entries but nothing
happens.
So I thought maybe there's a problem with JRE 1.3.1 and installed JRE
1.4.1 but I still have the same problem. I'm using Windows XP SP1,
700Mhz Intel P-III, 256MB RAM and JVM 1.4.1_01.
Can someone please verify this and forward this bug to the mindterm
development people. Thanks a lot, cause this is really a grave bug. For
example on our server you can't even login without a publickey, only our
testserver allows this. So I can't use V2.3 and I hope Appgate will
release the fixed version soon.
Thanks to whoever is managing to list now.
Marc
