problem with 2.3.1 and MacOS (pre X)

Hi everyone. I'm new but I'm here to report what looks like some kind of
problem with the new mindterm 2.3.1 and MacOS classic (pre X) when i try
to run the applet in the browser (IE 5.1.6) or with the applet runner (MRJ
2.2.5 implements Sun's JDK 1.1.8 specification.). In both instances the
applet opens the window and promptly quits. the applet running gives me
the following info.

This is under MacOS 9.2.2. Since this version of the macos has been
declared 'officially' dead contacting symantec and apple on this issue
would be a waste of time. However 1.x and 2.0 of mindterm did work in
these environs previously. Anyone care to comment/fix this (since i dont
know how:)
