FTP bridge and unwanted DOS carriage returns

I see.  Thank you.  Well, it seems like it's back to the
drawing board, then! :-)  Here is with the bridge enabled:

 C:\Documents and Settings\Dallman Ross>ftp 127.0.0.1

 ftp> quote syst

I'm about to try the 3.0 beta 2, fwiw.  But I'm also
leaving for a vacation to Japan in two days, so
I may not respond to suggestions for a couple
of weeks.  I'll look forward to any that people
have, however!
