SCOANSI emulation problems

Paul,
I have the same thing with Mindterm 2.4.2 (which is stable and working
well enough for me to keep it). I experience this in Putty (every
version I've gotten) and Mindterm both configured for terminal type =
linux. To complicate matters, I use screen, which has its own galaxy
of terminal configurations. (like 'tty = screen'). As a hack, I have
it set back to 'tty=linux' on login.
I noticed that if I change types to "xterm" both in tcsh and MindTerm,
then the line-drawing characters seem to work okay. When I go to a
nested screen session (on another host) everything gets wopperjawed
...
But in any case, without screen at all, directly logged in, I am able
to see line drawing characters (apparently properly) with the (linux)
host and Mindterm set as such:
tcsh Mindterm
---------------------------
xterm xterm
xterm xterm-color
xterm aixterm
xterm-color xterm
xterm-color xterm-color
xterm-color aixterm
Further, it seems that if and only if tcsh is set to xterm-color,
elinks will show up in color through Mindterm, which makes total
sense.
Well, Paul, I sure hope that helps, despite my having avoided scoansi
altogether.
:o)
