Mailing List Address

A quick question:
I the 3.0.1 announce message to the user list the destination address
is mindterm-users at the appgate.com domain. However, when I tried to reply to the
announce message it didn't go through, and i had to modity the
destination to mindterm-users at the mindterm.appgate.com domain.

Is there a configuration issue? or is the first address special for people
with an email on the appgate.com domain?

p.s.
I was being explicit with the addresses so that spam-crawlers won't pick them up.
