X-11 Forwarding (with tunneling not via UNIX sockets)

Hello everybody,
after evaluations of Mindterm, I think the following:
Mindterm supports X-11 forwarding by using Magic Cookies.
That means we don't have to do xhost +hostname.
But Mindterm needs an X-Server running on port 6000, because of the DISPLAY variable "localhost:0".
When I change this variable to a UNIX style, it is not working, e.g. unix/10:0 .
So, Mindterm only works with tcp/ip connections to the x-server while port 6000 can be closed by a firewall. That means only localhost connections are going to the port 6000 and the X is tunneled from the remote side within the SSH connection.
Hence, Mindterm does not work with UNIX sockets and X11-Forwarding, you need an X-server that accepts tcp connections.
Is this right? What do you think?
If not can you give me an example that is working, for instance the display variable content.
Best regards,
Morris
